This plan will be carried out in three years from 2010 to 2012, in order to supply about 5 billion breeding animals which have achieved the national standard, satisfying for the trade of feeding pangasius at the Mekong River Delta.

In 3 years from 2010 to 2012, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will take 350 billion VND fro the development of 100,000 pangasius of parents, supplying about 5 billion of breeding animals achieving national standard, satisfying for the trade of feeding pangasius at the Mekong River Delta.

Now, Institute for Seafood Research 2 has been in a hurry to build the ministry of national standard about breeding pangasius to take to the department of seafood of provinces, at once, they take the multiplication to the reserve pangasius of parents – pangasius of parents that could reproduce after handing over to the farms of breeding animal.

For example, up to April 2010 the Institute of seafood 2 will hand over to the provinces Dong Thap, An Giang, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Vinh Long with 50,000 pangasius of parents and hand over 50,000 ones on April 2012.

While waiting for the herd of pangasius of parents from Institute of Seafood 2, the provinces in the plan have been Dong Thap, An Giang, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Vinh Long will be allotted capital by the Department of Aquaculture to process to build the material facilities, training the human resources, building the farms of producing united and comprehensive breeding animal according to the national technology standard which has been approved by the Department of Aquaculture.
